Lead portfolio manager
Martin is a Lead Portfolio Manager at DWS, looking after the firm’s international foray into Living sectors.
Martin has over 15 years of equity and debt investment management experience across United Kingdom and Europe, having invested over £2 billion in the Living sectors, covering Residential, PBSA, Hospitality, and Senior Living, with strong expertise in development funding and structuring. During his real estate career, Martin has acted in a principal capacity acquiring, disposing, lending and borrowing against Living assets.
Prior to joining DWS, Martin was the Head of Residential and Impact Investments at LaSalle Investment Management, where he was responsible for portfolio management and investments in the residential sector, working on UK and European mandates.
Earlier in his career, Martin was Portfolio Manager for a core residential fund at Aviva Investors, where he delivered over 7.0% p.a. return for the 5 years to end of Q1 20219. Martin was also an inaugural named Portfolio Manager, helping Aviva Investors launch their first pan-European real estate long income fund in 2017.
Martin holds an MBA from University of Oxford in the United Kingdom and a Summa Cum Laude BA from Whittier College in California, USA. He is also a CFA® Charterholder and a Certified Person under the FCA’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime.View all Speakers
