x+why, which has signed 40,000 square feet at Brindleyplace, has four London locations -Chiswick, Spitalfields, Midtown and Whitechapel.
Raj Rajput, managing director of asset management for the UK at Hines, said: “We’ve had a great deal of interest in the space at 6 Brindleyplace from a range of flexible workspace providers but our priority was to work with a business that would bring added value to the wider estate while aligning with our core values and x+why fit the bill perfectly.
“We have seen increasing demand for flexible workspaces from companies of all shapes and sizes, particularly since the onset of Covid-19 as companies readjust and plan ahead for the future of their working environments. Our Tailored Workplaces offer at Brindleyplace has seen huge interest, and having x+why here will complement our other occupiers," he added.
Chief executive at x+why Rupert Dean said: “When we have been looking for options outside London to expand our business, it was important to us we chose locations that gave us the best opportunity to meet our targets and provide spaces that go far beyond only providing space in which to work.
“Brindleyplace is a fantastic location centred on wellbeing and sustainability, two of our biggest drivers. It also has a wonderful environment that sits comfortably in its own part of the city as well as being integrated into a larger business eco-system. There is already a deep-rooted sense of community established at the estate as well, and we can’t wait to bring our tenants to a location that offers high-quality workspace with a host of brilliant amenities and opportunities on its doorstep," he added.
