AIGAB and Italianway Spa

Marco Celani

President of AIGAB and CEO of Italianway Spa

Marco Celani, CEO of Italianway since 2016, has led the company to become the leading operator in the Italian short-term rental market by the number of contracted properties and covered destinations, both in Italy and abroad.

In 2020, he co-founded and became President of AIGAB, the Italian Association of Short-Term Rental Managers, to provide institutional representation for entrepreneurs in the sector.

With a background in finance, Celani has worked for Citibank, BNP Paribas, and Asset Management Service, holding managerial roles in Italy, Luxembourg, and the UK. He specializes in company valuations, mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations. In recent years, he founded Sequor Capital Management, an M&A boutique assisting SMEs and startups.

Celani speaks at major sector events, providing data and trends on the Italian and international markets. He is an expert in regulations and taxation, often consulted at the institutional level as one of the top experts in the sector.

As President of AIGAB, Celani maintains relations with the central government and local administrations, participating in working groups and advocating for equal recognition for short-term rental entrepreneurs compared to other tourism operators. He emphasizes, with a collaborative spirit, the value of the market and the fundamental contribution of professionally managed short-term rentals to the Italian tourism industry.
